Meet the Chef

Chef Machamer began her culinary career with an apprenticeship with world renowned chef Larry Forgione at An American Place while taking classes at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis. She enrolled at the The Culinary Institute of america in Hyde Park, New York. Part way through her final semester she was chosen to compete in the fourth season of Hell’s Kitchen, the fiery reality show hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. After taking the Hell’s Kitchen "Season Four Grand Prize," Machamer finished her degree at the CIA and then moved directly into a position as sous chef at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant in West Hollywood.  Before joining B Cellars, Machamer served on the opening team at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills where her experience included garde manger, canapé, entremétier and poissonnier. Machamer also studied wine and viticulture at the CIA Greystone in Napa Valley and passed the certified sommelier exam with The Court of Master Sommeliers, based in London.

To better showcase the versatility and depth of B Cellars wines, Chef Machamer has been brought on board to develop and lead expanded interactive food and wine tasting programs for winery guests, with the goal of demonstrating through sensatory experience the flexibility and depth of B Cellars wines.

"B Cellars was keen to attract a person with solid culinary credentials who could help us convey to winery visitors the reasons for our 'food-centric' reputation in the culinary community," said Duffy Keys, principal. "We were impressed with Chef Machamer’s qualifications and culinary work experience at Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bistro and with Gordon Ramsay at the London Hotel in Los Angeles – not to mention her incredible personality."
