Tom Jarman brings more than 20 years of experience in the wine industry, with a strong background in sales and management, and an undeniable passion for Napa Valley wine to his role as brand manager for B Cellars.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in communications from Oakland University in 1992, he knew his true passion was in the wine industry. So he snuck into a local wine trade show where he met a wine distributor for Great Lakes Wine and Spirits. With a friendly conversation and some convincing, he quickly became the new salesman for the Detroit area quickly rising in the company and expanding his territory. After 18 months, he was promoted to the desirable suburbs of Detroit – West Bloomfield and the Novi area. From there, he was recruited to become the Pennsylvania sales rep for Heublein Inc., representing the Baron Philippe de Rothschild portfolio, including the legendary first growth Bordeaux Château Mouton-Rothschild. Additionally, he represented world-renowned brands, including Finlandia Vodka, Sempe Armagnac and Laurent-Perrier Champagne, in addition to many reputable Italian brands.
In August of 1996, Tom changed courses and started a local wholesale clothing company called Napa Valley Clothing Company, where he acted as a vendor to a number of wineries in the Napa Valley. Simultaneously, he also owned the first Lucky Brand jeans store in the Napa Valley in 2006, dubbed American Denim Company. During his tenure of self-employment, Tom donated more than $50K in cash and services to charities including The American Red Cross Silverado Chapter (for 9/11), The Salvation Army, and various community projects.
After being self-employed for nearly 15 years, Tom went on to pursue a life-long dream and received an M.B.A in Business Administration and Management from Sonoma State University. While attending Sonoma State, he was the chief concierge at the Silverado Resort and Spa, worked in the tasting room at Alpha Omega Winery in Rutherford, and then worked as a concierge at Bardessono Hotel and Spa in Yountville. During his time there, Tom was first introduced to B Cellars and fell in love with the pleasant mix of a world-class hotel culture, top-ranked Napa Valley wines, and highly acclaimed chefs all working under one roof.
At B Cellars, Tom will build the winery’s strong brand presence, and promote the impeccable services and guest experiences and award-winning Napa Valley wines. With his precise attention to detail, passion for innovation and strong entrepreneurial spirit, Tom looks forward to contributing to the winery’s long term growth and success.
Tom currently resides in Napa, California. When he’s not working, you can find him with his two young boys, Thomas Jr. (age 14) and Charleston (age 11), riding dirt bikes or wood working with barrel staves.
