Frediani

Frediani family’s dry-farmed vineyard is in the esteemed Rosedale-Pickett Road area of the northeastern Napa Valley.  This unique area near the base of the Palisades features a broad variety of soil types ranging from the higher and essentially bottomless Pleasanton gravels, to the lower, richer and heavier Bale clay loams fronting the Napa River.  The vineyards, warm Calistoga days, cool foggy nights and third generation Frediani Family wine growing experience combine to produce fruit rich in color and flavor density.

Abramo Frediani first settled on Pickett Road near Calistoga around 1900 after emigrating from his native Tuscan mountain village of Vallico Sotto.  Abramo’s son Gene, and his wife Jeanne, acquired and developed the current properties beginning shortly after WWII.  Gene also planted the world-renowned and neighboring Eisle Vineyard, where his wife Jeanne and their son Jim have managed the day-to-day operations since 1978.
