Mulhner
Syrah
The Mulhner vineyard is situated in Napa’s Chiles Valley. In 1998, Syrah grapes were planted there on a steep, west-facing hillside. The warm climate of the Chiles Valley is similar to the Southern Rhone Valley for an old-world character. The vines are very low yielding. The limited soils on the steep hillsides keep the color and flavor-intensity high, creating a highly structured and slightly tannic Syrah. The vineyard neighbors the legendary Priest Ranch, as well as the new winery, Brown Estate, which makes award-winning wines.
