Weekday Chicken



 

The color of your meat does not always have to match the color of your wine.  We're stepping out of the box here and recommending our Blend 24 with this dish.  The spicy richness in this sauce works so well with this red it will leave you hoping for leftovers...chances are there won't be any.  Perhaps we should rename this recipe "Everyday Chicken".  Blend 24 (wine details)

- 1 large chicken fryer-cut into serving pieces
- 4 tablespoon rum
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 brown onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon cayenne
- 2 tablespoons all-spice
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 cup of your favorite  store bought barbeque sauce

Heat oven to 415 degrees.

Blend all ingredients together and pour over chicken in an oven proof pan.

Bake for 40 minutes or when a meat thermometer reaches 165 degrees.
