Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard

Planted to vineyard for over 150 years, Beckstoffer Las Piedras traces its history back to the original Mexican land grants. It became the first vineyard in what in nos the St. Helena appellation. Acquired in 1983 by Beckstoffer Vineyards, and individual blocks replanted in 2001, 2005, 2006 and 2014, they have taken this 25 acre Heritage Vineyard to the highest level.
|SOIL:||Las Piedras meaning little pebbles in Spanish, the soil is loaded with small pebbles from ancient river wash. The soil has a shallow horizon and is very well-drained gravelly loam.|

|CLIMATE:||St. Helena is one of the warmest regions in the Napa Valley, characterized by long warm summer days with subtle afternoon breezes that come from the Pacific over the Mayacamas Mountain range. This AVA is noted for having large daytime-to-nighttime temperature fluctuations.|
