Intense, deep aromatics of stone fruit. The nose is full and bold, showing ripe peach and nectarine and a finish of baked apple pie.

Planted in the late 1830’s, this wine personifies the essence of Rhone’s most noble varietal. Expressive aromas of orange peel, cedar and smoked meats. The palate is gorgeous — think raspberry, porcini mushrooms and exotic spices. A long finish of savory pie crust that lingers around plush tannins.

At 1400 ft, altitude and thin rocky soil create wines with firm structure and complexity. The nose is laden with blackberry jam opening up to savory elements of sage and sweet licorice. The palate is rich and expansive with plum preserve, blackberry compote and black cherries. Unique tannins remind you of this wine’s Howell Mountain origin.

Blend 24 finds its inspiration from the “Super-Tuscan” wines of Italy, where non-traditional grapes are blended together to produce new expressions of classic terroir. In our case, we blend the Napa Valley classic Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese, a rare grape in our parts.

Flavors of cherry tart, pomegranate, and warm barrel spice highlight great purity of fruit, velvety-textured tannins, showcasing depth and power that is synonymous with Oakville.

Ripe red fruits, fresh, dried, and baked, are balanced with wet earth, espresso, orange rind, and, again those fine-grained, dusty tannins.
