At the Winery

Harvest is underway at the winery! Last month, we picked Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Calesa Vineyard for our sparkling wine. These grapes will be co-fermented in a combination of neutral French Oak barrels and stainless steel. After which, they will be bottled as a sparkling wine and released in 2030! Trust us, patience pays off, and you can experience that patience in our newest release, the 2022 Brut.
Grapes for our still wine are making their way onto the crushpad. Albariño, Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Vineyard Chardonnay, Star Vineyard Chardonnay, and Kenefick Ranch Petite Sirah have been picked, processed, and put into tanks or barrels for fermentation. There is a buzz around the winery when harvest is in action, and if you haven’t experienced it yet, you should book your tasting today!
The 2026 Harvest is showing great promise. It is about two weeks before the “normal” pick time, but that was due to a mild winter and early bud break. Some late-spring rain caused some shattering during flowering, which reduced overall yields. However, the lack of notable heat spikes and the consistent summer temperatures have led to an almost perfect ripening season. Lower yields also mean more developed flavors in the grapes. With fewer fruit clusters, the vines can concentrate nutrients, leading to exceptional fruit quality.

Chef is embracing grilling season with some of his favorite summer dishes. Recreate this menu at home during your next cookout to truly impress your guests. A wide variety of wines from both Napa and Sonoma are showcased, highlighting our vast portfolio. From Chardonnay, Blends, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon, there is something for every palate. You never know how long a menu will last, so make your reservation soon!

New Releases This Month

Brut

2022 Brut

Our second vintage of sparkling wine is composed of 75% Pinot Noir for depth and roundness and 25% Chardonnay for added structure. The gently pressed grapes were co-fermented in a combination of neutral French Oak barrels and stainless steel.

This Brut was made in the traditional method, where the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle. The process begins with the addition of a liqueur de tirage (a wine solution of sugar and yeast), triggering a secondary fermentation inside the bottle, which produces both carbon dioxide and yeast cells, or lees. Our sparkling wine went through a 36-month tirage (time on the lees). The yeast cells are collected in the neck of the bottle during the riddling process, which rotates and tilts the bottles. After the yeast has settled in the neck of the bottle, the lees is disgorged from the bottle and can be finished with a small dosage. Then the sparkling wine is corked, caged, and foiled and is finally ready to be enjoyed in the home!

A beautiful golden hue with inviting aromas of baked apple and poached pear. The palate is beautifully balanced with notes of white peach, hazelnut, and freshly baked brioche. The Extended tirage lends greater depth and weight to the mid-palate, enhancing the wine’s creamy texture and creating a rich, luxurious mouthfeel

Stagecoach Sangiovese

Please note – this is our last vintage of Stagecoach Vineyard Sangiovese

2024 Stagecoach Vineyard Sangiovese

With 600 acres under vine, divided into 200 individual vineyard blocks with 16 varietals, Stagecoach is almost more like a viticultural appellation than a single vineyard.  And it is a winemaker’s delight, with an array of aspects, soil types, and altitudes combining to create flavor profiles that have helped define the category loosely described as “mountain fruit.”  All of this is managed to perfection, with each individual block treated with a specific growing plan suited to coax maximum flavor and structure from the soil and the vines. Stagecoach Vineyard has been providing some of the most unique and diverse selections of varietals to wineries throughout the Napa Valley. This historic vineyard is well known for producing classic and powerful wines, and the Sangiovese is no exception.

Grown in rocky, red volcanic soils at high elevation, the vines dig deep for nutrients, yielding fruit of remarkable concentration, color, and structure. The result is a Sangiovese that is bigger, bolder, and unmistakably Stagecoach, while still honoring the varietal’s balance. Dark cherry and wild berry notes lead the palate, framed by firm mountain tannins and lifted by vibrant natural acidity that keeps the wine energetic and food-friendly.

Bold and mountain-driven, this rare Sangiovese reflects its high-elevation origins in the rocky, red volcanic soils of Stagecoach Vineyard. Dark cherry and wild berry form the core of a concentrated, deeply expressive palate, while vibrant natural acidity brings freshness and energy to the wine’s powerful frame. Firm mountain tannins build structure and persistence, carrying the fruit through a long, savory finish.
