Founder’s Vintage 2023 Custom Barrel to Bottle

A CELEBRATION OF B CELLARS

B Cellars has set aside a small number of barrels, especially for members of our B Society who wish to purchase a unique, custom-labeled B Cellars wine from this historic vintage.

In 2023, B Cellars founders Jim Borsack and Duffy Keys celebrated their 20th anniversary of their B Cellars partnership.  As if the gods were smiling on us, this landmark vintage happens to be one of the finest of our lifetimes.  To quote Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible, “Every century, every place has its legendary vintages.  I have no doubt that 2023 will do down as one of the most phenomenal vintages ever in Napa Valley.  Every vintner I’ve talked to about 2023 has been nothing short of ecstatic.”

How does this work?

This is your opportunity to create your own, personalized wine from this “vintage of a lifetime.”  It starts with a visit to our Oakville winery estate to taste through potential wines and blends from our aging barrels alongside our winemaking team.

In addition to working with our production team to craft a wine, you will also need to create a custom label.  On one side of the bottle is our distinctive “B Cellars” logo while on the other side is your mark or message.  Like all of our bottles, the labels are screen-printed directly on the glass, creating a sleek, modern look and a message that really stands out.

Only one or two barrels of certain wine lots are available for this commemorative program.  Your custom labeled barrel will be among the rarest and most exclusive bottlings from the Napa Valley.

The final cost largely depends on the final blend of the wine chosen.  For one of our Proprietary red wine blends, the price ranges from $30,000 to $40,000.  A Cabernet Sauvignon from a single appellation is $45,000.  And custom bottle from a Beckstoffer Heritage vineyard, $98,000.  These prices include 300 standard bottles (750ml apiece).  You may, however, choose to put some of your barrel into various bottle sizes, magnums (1.5 liters) up to 6 liter or 9 liter bottles.

We are reserving spots in this program on a first-come, first-served basis.
