In the Kitchen
B Cellars was built on blends, and this menu showcases those wines; including Blend 23, Blend 24, and Blend 25! With winter settling into the valley and a slower pace here in Napa, Chef has taken time to curate quite a special menu featuring almost entirely new dishes that are sure to wow!
Welcome Bite: Pineapple-curried shrimp with coconut rice and ginger gremolata, alongside 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, starts the tasting off with a bang.
1st and 2nd Bite: A cold soup made of Nước chấm with a duck dumpling and Thai chili oil paired with 2023 Blend 23. Up next, a warm soup of roasted pepper and tomato bisque with grilled cheese alongside 2022 Blend 24.
3rd and 4th Bite: A gorgeous Goat Ravioli sits atop three carrot purées, creating a visually stunning dish paired with 2022 Blend 25. Wrapping up the tasting is a Pastrami on Rye with Swiss cheese accompanied by 2021 Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
New Release This Month

Albariño is a delightfully refreshing coastal white, and though rare in California, we were lucky to produce a small amount of still wine using this varietal for the past two years. Grown in the Petaluma Gap AVA where vineyards are tucked into valleys and scattered on hillsides in perfect harmony with the area’s rural open space and rich agricultural history.
In 2023, the opportunity presented itself to make a sparkling Albariño using the Charmat method, or metodo Italiano. In this method, we add yeast and sugar to the base wine, and secondary fermentation happens in tank under pressure, preserving the freshness of the fruit flavors and producing a light and vibrant sparkling wine.
“The nose is crisp, with notes of orange blossom and stone fruit. On the palate flavors of white nectarine, peach, Bosc pear, and kumquat lead to a refreshing finish with a hint of salinity.”
New Scores Received
Wine ratings provide a valuable reference point for consumers, particularly when someone is looking for guidance when selecting a new wine or winery. Robert Parker popularized wine ratings in the 1980s, creating a 100-point system that is widely considered the modern standard. Scores are based on a wine’s quality attributes, such as balance, length, complexity, and intensity. With outstanding wines scoring between 96-100 points, exceptional wines scoring between 90-95, and good/very good wines scoring between 85-89. We have been fortunate to submit our wine to multiple raters and publications over the years, averaging scores of over 94 points.
Our newest scores from the 2021 vintage come from Lisa Perrotti-Brown, founder of the Wine Independent. She has spent over 25 years working in the wine industry and became a Master of Wine in 2008 while working for Robert Parker at The Wine Advocate. In 2021, Lisa left the Wine Advocate and founded the Wine Independent, where she covers California and Bordeaux. Lisa and her team are adding a refreshing new look at the wine industry through The Wine Independent.
