Blending has been at the heart of B Cellars since our very first vintage. What began with a vision to craft distinctive, food-friendly wines has evolved into a collection of proprietary blends that reflect the creativity and craftsmanship of our winemaking team. For more than two decades, we have thoughtfully brought together varietals from exceptional vineyards to create wines that are truly greater than the sum of their parts.
The beauty of blending lies in its possibilities. Each vintage presents a new opportunity to explore different combinations, evaluate individual vineyard lots, and discover how each varietal contributes its own character, structure, and complexity. Through careful consideration and meticulous refinement, our winemaking team finds the ideal harmony among these elements, resulting in wines that are both distinctive and beautifully balanced.
While each of our blends possesses its own unique personality, they are all united by the philosophy that has guided B Cellars from the beginning: crafting exceptional wines that offer depth, elegance, and complexity, with a natural affinity for food. Why the numbers?
The B Cellars logo is the scientific symbol for Brix, the measurement of sugar within a solution. Brix levels are collected in the vineyard before harvest as one of the indicators of ripeness. Typically white wine is picked between 21-23 Brix and red wine is picked between 24-28 Brix. Our blend names are a little nod to this Brix scale.
2024 Blend 23
Our signature white blend brings together Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier in a refreshing and layered expression. Sauvignon Blanc provides bright acidity and vibrant citrus character, while Chardonnay adds richness, texture, and depth. A touch of Viognier introduces delicate floral aromatics and a silky mouthfeel. The result is a lively, versatile wine that offers the perfect balance of freshness and complexity.
2023 Blend 24
One of the original wines that launched B Cellars, Blend 24 draws inspiration from the renowned Super Tuscan wines of Italy. This distinctive combination of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon marries the vibrant acidity and bright fruit character of Sangiovese with the richness and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. Blend 24 is a natural companion to food and a reflection of our founding philosophy.
2023 Blend 25
Inspired by the celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz (Syrah) blends of Australia, Blend 25 brings together the best of Napa Valley’s diverse terroirs. Cabernet Sauvignon lends structure and depth, while Syrah contributes rich, dark fruit, spice, and a velvety texture. Drawing fruit from both valley floor and hillside vineyards, this wine strikes a compelling balance between boldness and finesse, with the structure to age gracefully.
2023 Blend 26
Our interpretation of a classic Left Bank Bordeaux-style wine, Blend 26 celebrates the structure, depth, and complexity of Cabernet Sauvignon-led blends. Carefully selected varietals are brought together to build layers of rich fruit, refined tannins, and exceptional concentration. Bold and sumptuous, this wine showcases the precision of our winemaking team and the remarkable aging potential of Napa Valley fruit.
2023 Blend 27
Inspired by the elegant wines of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, Blend 27 offers a captivating balance of richness and finesse. Its generous fruit character, supple tannins, and velvety texture make it both inviting and sophisticated. While its composition evolves with each vintage, Blend 27 consistently delivers a beautifully rounded expression with an unmistakably elegant personality.
2023 Syn3rgy
Crafted with the same attention to detail as our most celebrated wines, Syn3rgy brings a more playful approach to the B Cellars portfolio. The 2023 vintage combines Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah to create a luscious, fruit-forward wine with vibrant energy and an approachable personality. Syn3rgy is made for everything from casual weeknight dinners to lively summer cookouts.
2023 Segue
Born of experimentation, Segue gives our winemaking team the freedom to explore. Unlike our signature blends, which follow an established stylistic vision, Segue is a distinct creation each vintage. Drawing on some of our most exceptional barrel selections, this wine explores the interplay of terroirs, structures, and flavor profiles. The result is a distinctive, thought-provoking wine that celebrates the creativity and spontaneity of winemaking.
