B Society Connoisseur Allocation
Winter/Spring 2023
In 2022 we completed our 20th harvest at B Cellars. Incredible to realize that the dreaming and the combined vision of Jim Borsack and Duffy Keys have sustained, survived, grown, and thrived to become today’s B Cellars. In that inaugural vintage, Jim and Duffy teamed up with a young upstart winemaker named Kirk Venge to produce two distinctive blended wines, dubbed Blend 24 and Blend 25.
Twenty harvests later, Kirk Venge is still the B Cellars Master Winemaker. However, his reputation has grown in both renown and scope, and today he is widely known as one of Napa Valley’s top winemakers. B Cellars has grown as well, from those original two blends to over 30 unique and individual wines crafted from over 40 vineyards located throughout Napa Valley and into Sonoma. Today, we work with some of the most sought-after fruit from some of the greatest vineyard parcels in the world. Our close working relationships with our grape growers are the backbone of our unique winemaking program.
While we’ve grown both in the number of wines we produce and in the volume of cases produced, what has never changed for B Cellars is an unbending approach to wine quality. We approach each and every vintage with a simple guiding principle to our work in the cellar: to craft and bottle the best wines that we possibly can from each unique harvest.
What has changed over the past twenty harvests is the number of B Society members whom we get to spoil with our wine offerings and our singular B Cellars hospitality. We enjoy hosting you in our Hospitality House and regaling you with Chef Derick’s scrumptious wine and food pairings. There are many wineries in the Napa Valley producing delicious wines, but none enjoy so many close and personal relationships with their customers as B Cellars does. Thank you for being such great friends of our winery. As the year progresses toward B Cellars Harvest number 21, please come see us soon!
