This year’s reason for Rosé

Erin Sawyer Soper was a pillar of the Napa Valley community and had close personal ties to B Cellars. Her stepson, Zac Soper, has been an integral member of our shipping team for over seven years, and her cousin, Derek Taylor, has been our Director of Winemaking since 2010. She lived her entire life in the Napa Valley area. She graduated from St. Helena High School and attended the University of California, Berkley. After graduation, she began her teaching career in Napa at McPherson Elementary and then at Willow Elementary (formerly El Centro), where she primarily taught kindergarten and first grade. She had a 23-year career with the Napa Valley Unified School District. During her teaching career, she helped to plant and nurture a garden-based teaching program.
