At the Winery

We are thrilled to report that the garden project is progressing well! We have slowly started to plant some winter/spring vegetables in the garden. Multiple types of onions, swiss chard, kale, and herbs have made their way into the ground and are starting to give the garden signs of life. In addition to the new beds, we will be adding a greenhouse to the property, which will allow us to grow starters for the garden in an effort to keep growing incredible produce that can be used in the Hospitality House for delicious B Bites. By using starters, we can ensure that our seedlings have the ideal growing conditions at their most delicate stage. This will result in mature, healthy plants that are ready for harvest at the perfect time.

In the Cellar

Our wine-making team has been working hard this winter due to a later and more condensed harvest for 2023. At the beginning of the year, they focused on preparing and bottling our 2021 Beckstoffer Heritage wines, which had been aging gracefully in our wine cave for over two years. These exceptional wines were moved from barrel to tank to stabilize before being bottled and sent to our warehouse to settle. After the bottling was completed, the team shifted its attention to the final blending sessions for our spring bottling in April and preliminary blending for the July bottling.

Countless hours were spent tasting, blending, discussing, and blending again to make the wines you know and love. Once these blends were established to maximize texture, aromas, and flavor profiles, the wines were “racked to blend.” They were brought from the barrel to tank, blended, and then put back into the barrel to age. The team has also been cleaning macro bins, storing and winterizing production equipment, and reorganizing the cave barrel by barrel. They are the backbone of everything we do at B Cellars, and we are so lucky to have them as part of our team!

New Releases This Month

B Cellars is especially proud of its long-term partnership with legendary and pioneering grower Andy Beckstoffer. With a portfolio of seven single-vineyard heritage wines; six single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from each vineyard and one single-vineyard Cabernet Franc from Dr. Crane Vineyard.

The B Cellars – Beckstoffer partnership offers some of the region’s best wines, produced from the most sought-after vineyards in Napa Valley. We have nurtured our partnership with Beckstoffer Vineyards since our founding in 2003 and continue to be the first of only two wineries in the Napa Valley that produce a wine from each of these historic Napa Valley Vineyards.
