Chef’s Vietnamese Caramel sauce is incredibly versatile in Asian dishes and pairs perfectly with B Cellars Pinot Noir. The wine's acidity and bright red fruit shine through, enhancing the sauce's sweet and spicy notes. Serve over smoked pork belly or chicken thighs with rice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 rice wine vinegar

  • 1 cup 1 brown sugar

  • 2 2 limes, juiced

  • 1 Tbsp 1 ginger, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 garlic, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 chili flake

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk until combined
  • Cook in a sauce pot over medium-high heat and reduce by half
